# Product boxes

The product boxes, or the general **display of your products in the listing**, are very important for your sales figures. An appealing and well thought-out presentation of your products ultimately leads to more sales.

That's why I have integrated a **range of setting options** into the theme to cover as many use cases as possible.

### General Settings

Much of this is self-explanatory or becomes clear at the latest with the help texts for the fields, but I will go into 2 points in more detail:

* **Rich Snippets**\
  These are the meta details of the products that are passed to search engines such as Google. This setting gives you the best possible **SEO** for your products.
* **Fit of the Product image**\
  Depending on the type of your product images, you can select the optimum setting here:

  \
  **Cover:** \
  A section of the image is displayed. Note that the product images may be cropped. The focus is on a uniform look of the listing.<br>

  **Contain (recommended):** \
  No matter how much your images differ in height, the product images are automatically optimized for the designated area.

### Advanced Settings

Here you can make detailed settings for the display. The **"Maximum height of the product image"** goes hand in hand with the previous setting **"Product image fit"**. So pay attention to this!

The font sizes should be self-explanatory, but a very important setting is the maximum number of lines for the respective contents of the box.

{% hint style="info" %}

#### Example:

Your products have titles of different lengths, which means that some titles may be displayed in 2 lines. For products with less long titles, the title is displayed in 1 line.

**What is the Problem?**

This results in the product boxes being displayed at different heights and thus destroys the uniform overall picture when products are placed next to each other.

**How can I solve the Problem?**

You should find a compromise and categorize the respective areas according to the **lowest common denominator**. So limit the number of lines so that the overall impression fits again.
{% endhint %}
