# The Dashboard

The dashboard of the Theme - Manager – manage themes, open settings and tick off your progress.

The dashboard is the control centre of the Theme - Manager. On the left is a sidebar with all settings, on the right the workspace with whatever you have just opened. When you open it, the dashboard starts with **Manage Themes**: this is where you see which theme your sales channels use and whether the Theme - Manager works with it.

You open the dashboard in the administration through **Content › Theme - Settings**.

<table><thead><tr><th width="287">Function</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Manage Themes (1)</td><td>Shows which theme your sales channels use and whether the Theme - Manager works with it. The default Shopware theme and selected themes by RH-Webdesign are compatible, other themes are not. The coloured dot summarises whether your themes are supported – see <strong>Manage Themes and the status dot</strong>.</td></tr><tr><td>Settings (2)</td><td>All settings of the Theme - Manager, sorted into groups.</td></tr><tr><td>Group (3)</td><td>A group such as <strong>Layout</strong> with its settings. On the right it shows how many of them you have already ticked off.</td></tr><tr><td>Setting (4)</td><td>A click opens the setting in the workspace.</td></tr><tr><td>Workspace (5)</td><td>Shows what you have selected on the left: <strong>Manage Themes</strong>, a setting, the changelog or the support page.</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="info" %}
As soon as you open the dashboard, Shopware collapses its main menu into a narrow icon bar. That leaves more room for the settings. A click on the Shopware logo at the top left (**Expand menu**) expands it again.
{% endhint %}

## Opening the dashboard

1. In the administration, open the **Content** menu area (1).
2. Click **Theme - Settings** (2) or the sub-item **Dashboard** (3). Both open the dashboard.

<figure><img src="https://3517456628-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FmlPb6ICG6kHEJhGjJ5wl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-62537570187eb8bbc638f53e45404258a320d1d1%2Finstallation-menue.webp?alt=media" alt="The way to the dashboard in the menu" width="300"><figcaption><p>The Theme - Manager in the menu of the administration.</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="success" %}
The address in your browser changes with every setting you open – and, for many settings, with the selected tab as well. If you save it as a bookmark, you can open that setting again later with one click.
{% endhint %}

## Manage Themes and the status dot

With a click on **Manage Themes** at the top of the sidebar, you can return to the theme overview at any time. The coloured dot (1) next to it shows at a glance whether the Theme - Manager works with the themes of your sales channels. If you move the mouse over it, a tooltip explains the state.

<figure><img src="https://3517456628-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FmlPb6ICG6kHEJhGjJ5wl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-1b476248621754de36455a4aa697e58366984e68%2Fdashboard-status.webp?alt=media" alt="Status dot with tooltip" width="500"><figcaption><p>The status dot with its tooltip.</p></figcaption></figure>

<table><thead><tr><th width="287">Colour</th><th>Meaning</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Green</td><td>All assigned themes are compatible.</td></tr><tr><td>Yellow</td><td>Only some of the assigned themes are compatible. The tooltip says how many, for example “1 of 2 assigned themes are compatible.”</td></tr><tr><td>Red</td><td>One of these cases applies:<br>– None of the assigned themes is compatible with the Theme - Manager.<br>– No sales channel has a theme assigned.<br>– The Shopware extension “Shopware Store” is not installed or not active.</td></tr><tr><td>Grey</td><td>The check is still running. After a moment the dot changes to one of the other colours.</td></tr></tbody></table>

Which themes the Theme - Manager supports is explained under **Installation & Activation**. The following pages explain how to assign, change and edit themes.

## The settings in the sidebar

Under **Settings** you find all settings of the Theme - Manager, divided into five groups. A click on a setting opens it on the right in the workspace.

<figure><img src="https://3517456628-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FmlPb6ICG6kHEJhGjJ5wl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-dc78f8e58dcad9940894d3f751fa69626d210c66%2Fdashboard-seitenleiste.webp?alt=media" alt="Groups and settings in the sidebar" width="300"><figcaption><p>The “Layout” group with an open, a completed and a pending setting; the “Products” group is fully completed.</p></figcaption></figure>

<table><thead><tr><th width="287">Function</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Group (1)</td><td>A click on the row expands or collapses the group – the arrow on the right shows the state. The number in front counts the ticked-off settings of the group: <strong>2 / 8</strong> means two of eight are done.<br>Your browser remembers which groups you have collapsed.</td></tr><tr><td>Open setting (2)</td><td>The setting that is currently open in the workspace is highlighted in blue.<br>If you move the mouse over a setting, a circle appears on the right. A click on it (<strong>Mark as done</strong>) ticks the setting off.</td></tr><tr><td>Done (3)</td><td>A ticked-off setting permanently shows a tick. Another click (<strong>Mark as not done</strong>) removes it again.</td></tr><tr><td>Fully completed group (4)</td><td>When you tick off the last setting of a group, the group collapses automatically. The number then reads, for example, <strong>6 / 6</strong>.</td></tr></tbody></table>

{% hint style="info" %}
The ticks are a personal checklist for setting up your shop. They do not change anything in your shop and are only saved in your browser: other administration users – or you on another computer – do not see them.
{% endhint %}

### Which setting is in which group

<table><thead><tr><th width="287">Group</th><th>Settings</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Layout</td><td>Footer, Forms, Header, Icons, Illustrations, Logo, Preloader, Top Bar</td></tr><tr><td>Products</td><td>General, Product Box, Listing, Detail Page, Product Attachments, Product Badges</td></tr><tr><td>Sales Promotion</td><td>Account, Exit Intent, Payment &#x26; Shipping, Quick Contact, Social Media</td></tr><tr><td>Advanced</td><td>Cookies, Google Fonts</td></tr><tr><td>Developer</td><td>SCSS / JavaScript, Theme Inheritance, Twig / Templates</td></tr></tbody></table>

## The Premium area

Below the settings follows the **Premium** area with the groups **Sales Promotion** (Back in Stock, Checkout, Free Shipping Notification, Surcharges, Wish Lists) and **Products** (Cross-Selling Popup, Product Bundles, Product Configurator).

As long as you have not unlocked the premium features, the area looks like this:

<figure><img src="https://3517456628-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FmlPb6ICG6kHEJhGjJ5wl%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-3e6edb78fc2dc40de043265974982645fa7ec90b%2Fdashboard-premium.webp?alt=media" alt="Premium area before unlocking" width="300"><figcaption><p>The Premium area before unlocking.</p></figcaption></figure>

<table><thead><tr><th width="287">Function</th><th>Description</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Unlock all (1)</td><td>Opens the window in which you unlock all premium features at once.</td></tr><tr><td>Group (2)</td><td>The number says how many premium settings the group contains.</td></tr><tr><td>Locked setting (3)</td><td>The padlock shows that the setting is still locked. You can still open it and look at all of its settings – you can only edit it after unlocking.</td></tr></tbody></table>

After unlocking, the padlocks and the button disappear. The premium settings then work like all the others – with an icon, a done tick and a counter.

## The workspace

On the right appears whatever you select in the sidebar or in the menu: **Manage Themes**, a setting, the changelog or the support page. Every setting is built the same way – a header at the top with search, documentation, support, sales channel selection and the buttons for saving, and below it the setting itself. The page **Working with Settings** explains how to work with it.

## Changelog and support

You reach the changelog and the support page through the administration menu under **Content › Theme - Settings › Changelog** (4) and **Support** (5) – see the image under **Opening the dashboard**. The **Support** button in the header of every setting also takes you to the support page.
