# Shopping Experience Preview

With the **preview** you can view a layout directly in the storefront without having to assign it to a category or page first. This lets you check the structure and design of a shopping experience quickly and realistically.

You will find the **Vorschau** (Preview) button at the top right of the layout detail page toolbar – right next to **Save**:

A click opens the layout in a new browser tab in the storefront. If **several sales channels** are active in your shop, you can use **Verkaufskanal wählen** (Choose sales channel) beforehand to define which storefront the preview opens in.
